Thomas Edison Biography Project

Our class is learning all about biographies. We worked together on a project on Thomas Edison and created a Photo Story slide show. Enjoy!

Natural History Museum

Our field trip to the Natural History Museum was great! We went up to the observatory to check out their really big telescope. We were lucky to be there on a rare sunny day and we got to look at an image of the sun. We even got to see sun spots! The planetarium was a hit. The kids loved seeing the constellations and planets. We also had time to explore the rest of the museum including the dinosaur bones and the animals outside.

We Have Tiger PRIDE!

Dr. Jones visited our class for Morning Meeting today! She came to tell us that she has noticed how well we are showing Tiger PRIDE. We taught her a greeting and activity and we shared our Tiger PRIDE posters with her. She gave us cool pencils and stickers. We're so proud!

3D Landform Maps

On Thursday we worked in small groups and created landform maps using salt dough. Each map includes at least 5 landforms and 1 water feature. It was a fun project where the students had the chance to show what they have learned about landforms.

This is our brand new blog!

Welcome to our class blog! I am new to this blogging world, but I am excited to share news from our class with all of you. Check in to find class news and pictures of what we have been up to. Hopefully soon you will see some work done by our super second graders!
